skAI view

A DH2413 ADVANCED INTERACTION AND GRAPHICS PROJECT

Description

A two player AR / VR collaborative interaction

In the realm of advanced immersive technologies, emerges a groundbreaking endeavor known as ”skAI view” This dual-player experience seamlessly amalgamates Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), orchestrating a synergistic interplay between two distinct yet interdependent roles.

One player assumes the mantle of the AR participant, piloting a drone through a AR enviroment with a mobile device. Their manipulation of the augmented reality camera view grants them an unparalleled view of a AR map. By scanning two tracking point, the interaction show the three dimensional environment at any perfered size.

The goal for the AR player is to defeat moving enemies on the map. The enemies will be moving and try to obstruct the players. The tanks have different colored shilelds installed on them. The players need to coolaborate so they have the right color on their weapons to defeat the enemy hoard. On the virtual map, there will be obstacles, which will need to be avoided by the AR player to successfully indentify and combat the enemy.

In counterpoint, the VR player occupies a dimension of boundless, endowed with the task to support the AR player. The task is to controll the environment to select colors. Their chosen hues reverberate through the AR player’s realm, imbuing the drones weapon with powerful color combinations. This alliance of precision and artistic acumen is at the core of this unique engagement.

This project represents a shift in immersive collaboration, heralding a convergence of technological prowess, artistic expression and communication. The experience tries to explore new era of interactive exploration, encapsulating the essence of innovation and collaboration within its mixed realities.

”I’ve been mostly working the multiplayer connectivity, AR interaction and project managment side of things. My favorite part of this project has been seeing the my work being used in conjunction with the work of the rest of the team”

My Andersson

lilla.my.1998@gmail.com

”My primary assignment has been to create the 3D models used in the AR view of this project. I enjoyed learning to work in blender, and it has been nice to see all parts of the project come together.”

Zebastian Kensert Forsman

zebastiankf@gmail.com

”I worked as a backend developer, focusing on the AR and game logic implementations while also managing the GitHub page. As I had little prior experience with Unity, I enjoyed learning it and exploring new features.”

Sebaztian Johansson

sebaztian@sebaztian.com

”My focus has been on the backend and technical details of the project. Setting up the AR-tracking, gameplay and solving of general problems all around was my main contribution. I really enjoyed learning an abundance of new things!”

Philip Berrez

philip.berrez@gmail.com

”My task was to design and implement interactions for the player in VR. I got to explore and learn a lot about VR interactions and the possibilities they entail.”
